With all that is going on in the world today, it is a breath of fresh air to make something creative. These adorable Easter Bunny cupcakes are perfect. With two separate designs, these cupcakes are a cute Easter project to make with kids or with the entire family. Even though there is some fondant involved in the design they are super easy to make.
This project came about when I saw these cute silicone mold at Joann’s. I immediately picked them up and was so excited to start creating. Using the mold is just as good if not better than making them from scratch.
As you can see, the key to making these cupcakes is the mold. Wilton has two sizes, however, only the smaller size is needed.

Of course, I didn’t want you to start the project without some additional tips. I know what you are thinking, fondant, really… But, the fondant work is so super small and easy anyone can make this design.
However, if you are not comfortable working with fondant substitute with candy melts. Just melt the candy, pour it into the silicone mold. Refrigerate and voila.
If you are not comfortable piping replace the grass with shredded coconut, just color green in a ziplock bag using the green color gel. But, I know you really want to make my versions right? That’s what I thought… Okay so let’s go…
