1/2cuppasteurized egg whites
4sticks unsalted butter
1lbpowdered sugar or 4 cups
1tspvanilla extract
1tspsalt

Beat the egg whites and powdered sugar in a stand mixer until it becomes fluffy and shiny for about 5 minutes.
Then add the room temperature butter in small pieces and whip on high for about 8 minutes or until it comes together.
Add the vanilla and salt and mix until combined.
To color add gel food coloring a little at a time until the gel color is fully combined. Remember that as the buttercream sits the color darkens so don't add too much.
