Easy Homemade Caramel Sauce
Make your very own homemade caramel sauce in a just few minutes using only five ingredients.

Servings 1 cup
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp light corn syrup
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp vanilla
Heat water and sugar on medium-low heat.
Bring to a boil and remove from heat once it reaches an amber color.
Remove from heat and stir in the butter.
Then, add heavy cream, vanilla, and corn syrup.
Let the caramel cool in the pan.
Note: Do not stir the sugar.
Remove the pot from the stove before adding the heavy cream to prevent spillage.
How to Fix Grainy Caramel Sauce
The best way is to use corn syrup. Add a teaspoon of corn syrup at a time to the sauce fix any graininess.
