Thank you Lisa for your comment. Great points. However, I didn’t mention Blogger because I am not familiar with them (I have never used them). I can only speak from my own experiences and will not recommend anything (product or services) I have never used. I have always used Bluehost and would recommend them affliate or not.

It’s free and easy to use. You can choose custom templates, add affiliate advertising, and do exactly the same things you can with WP, but you won’t be laying out any money (except for your domain name and that could be anywhere from $1-10) at the outset, which is always smart for a new “business”. I understand that you earn money by getting your readers to sign up for BlueHost, but to not even mention Blogger as an option is a bit disingenuous I think. I’ve been on Blogger for six years now and get first page Google ranking, work with more than 40 brands, have affiliates ads on my site, etc. and support my family with my blogging. And I don’t have to pay a host or worry about my site crashing or viruses. Just my two cents.
