I am finally getting to part III of how to make a wedding cake series. It’s been a minute so let’s catch up. The buttercream e-book is going through the final stages and will be available at the end of August. Super excited about that. Let’s recap, In part I, I shared my secret for sketching cake designs and in part II I showed how to make the classic and beautiful edible cake lace. In this post, we are putting it all together. I am going to show you how I make an easy fondant bow and how to make a fondant skirt.
So… I can’t say this cake did not come without its challenges. The most issue, I had was deciding whether to use royal icing or fondant for the flowers section. Finally, I decided to use the edible lace because done is better than perfect. Since I was the client, I took the liberty of changing the design. Now that is all out of the way let’s get ready to finish this cake.
